Fort Austin is an unforgettable outdoor venue. It is situated on a 4 acre working farm/orchard and offers 5 gorgeous guest cabins, 3 deluxe suites and a common area pavilion, bath house, binzebo, log porch, full kitchen, masonry fire pit and game room. It is available May 1 - November 1. Potential guests must contact the host for details, custom pricing and restrictions. We can accommodate up to 80 day guests, up to 16 overnight guests, and additional tents, RVs and tent trailers. We provide ample parking and an EV charging station. If needed the guest host will contract separately for party rental needs, music, catering, officiant, beverage service, and security
Fort Austin provides easy access, right off CO Hwy 133 a mile Northeast of Paonia. A 10 ft noise wall provides privacy from highway traffic and provides a beautiful architectural backdrop for photos.
Most cabins and suites require guests to negotiate a limited number of stair steps. But one deluxe suite is wheel chair accessible.
Hosts at Fort Austin generally take cues from guests relative to the amount of interaction guests prefer with the host. Tim often enjoys morning coffee on the lodge front porch with early riser guests. Afternoon beer or evening cigars at the fire pit are favorites for some guests. Great conversations with great guests are always welcome.

Do not dump grease in commercial sink, toilets, shower drains or bathroom sinks.
No climbing on rock wall or fences.
Do not leave campfires unattended.
Obey state and local regulations concerning fire bans.
Obey all state laws regarding dispensing of alcohol
Don’t leave personal items stored outside of apartment, cabin, tent or common area.
Paonia is a dark sky community, please use outside light sparingly. Stars and Milky Way are often visible.
