Anglers will also be happy here, as they can fish well from the coast. Odsherred is a geologically unique and beautiful geopark. Along the burial mound road, with its barrows and burial mounds, you will find evidence of the Stone Age and Bronze Age, the remains of a forest village in Ulkerup that was abandoned 300 years ago, the Hempel Glass Museum and, in the Odsherred Museum, a copy of the sun chariot found in the Trundholm Mose bog. You can also see the Lommesten erratic boulder and Næsholm Borg Castle, which stands on a small island in Nygård Sø between Højby and Nykøbing Sj. On Odsherred there is also a nature school that lets you catch seafood, organizes butterfly safaris and expeditions into the forest and invites you on troll and fox excursions. The Hovvig nature reserve, a restored wetland area, is home to a rich bird life. In Grønnehaveskoven forest there is a fitness trail, a beautiful dog forest and the Thorskilde spring, which is said to have magical properties, has its source in the Kongeengen meadow.
