Kappeln, with all its shopping facilities, pharmacies, and doctors, can be reached by car in just under 15 minutes. There are surfing and sailing schools in the immediate vicinity (Maasholm and Wackerballig). Possible excursions include a visit to the castle in Glücksburg, a visit to the “Tolk-Schau” amusement park, or a visit to Arnis, “the smallest town in Germany.”
