Summary: Overall we had a good experience at the Even Hotel for our first visit to NY. Entire Hotel and our room was very clean. Bathroom was a bit dated but VERY clean(most important). Towels were scratchy but clean and room service came daily and changed our sheets and tidied up the room and left the bathroom spotless, shower doors were spotless every day! King mattress and pillows were marvelously comfortable and the bedside charging station was a big win. Front lobby was lovely as was the guest lounge area. Staff was friendly and efficient. The evening bartender, Charisma, was outstanding! She made our stay extra fun for sure, despite the bar being out of many items our entire 4 night stay. There was a small outdoor space off the lounge that was quite lovely but the lock on the door malfunctioned so we were not able to get out there our final morning. A couple other things to note: only 1 elevator was working for our entire stay, fancy coffee machines weren't working and remote food ordering computers were down often. One more note - upon check in my initial bill did not reflect the "member" discount of near;y $500. When I brought this to their attention the front desk clerk was hesitant to research but the onshift manager stepped in immediately and resolved the issue explaining that sometimes when we book through a discount site like (Hotels.com) those prices don't transfer to the hotel. Across the street one block to right is Black Seed Bagels!! Really Delicious!!
