It is situated on 38 acres and is within 1-2 miles of public boat launches (Keuka, Waneta, and Lamoka Lakes). Summary: What a beautiful home near Keuka lake! Located on a quiet street about 15 mins outside the quaint town of Hammondsport, 30 mins from Watkins Glen and an hour from Ithaca it provided the tranquility we were looking for while still being able to access the area’s attractions. Note that it will take a bit of driving to get anywhere you want to go, so do plan accordingly.The house itself is modern, spacious and in immaculate condition. There are plenty of air conditioners and we never felt too hot or too cold during the stay. There is plenty of yard space and a well manicured property. The kitchen has everything you would need including an ice maker, toaster, toaster oven, keurig and regular coffee pot. The huge back deck, comfortable patio furniture and hot tub were a nice bonus and got plenty of use from us.The owners are kind, easy to communicate with and very responsive. There aren’t many harsh stipulations or unreasonable requests like you can get sometimes with these rentals. We had a small issue with one of the bedroom door handles and the owner even came out the same day to try and fix it.The only downside of the property is that there is a sulfur-like odor to the water from the high mineral content. It’s not unusable, it just makes it less pleasant. We ended up just drinking bottled water and took fast showers to compensate.
