This is a newly remodeled 4 bedroom, 3 bath lakeside year round home with 120 feet of lakefront on Mayfield Lake. Outstanding mountain and lake views. This house sits on a private road in a very peaceful, quiet location.
Mayfield Lake is a southern leg separated from the Sacandaga Lake, making it a smaller, peaceful lake perfect for canoes, kayaks and fisherman. The house and beach are at the smaller end of the lake, so the beach is very soft and not sandy. You are, of course able to use the boats and sit by the edge of the water to enjoy the gorgeous summer sunsets and sunrises. You will be in awe of the beauty of the Adirondacks right at the edge of your feet. The upper and lower deck are large and beautiful. They sit high on the hill for the best views. Perfect to enjoy a beautiful dinner, your morning coffee and afternoon siestas. This property is minutes away from the Northville-Lake Placid trail head, and also minutes from the grocery and major stores. The house is also 45 minutes from Saratoga Springs, and hour from Lake George.

Summary: This property had some renovations done. New hardwood floors throughout. New pine ceilings and windows. New appliances in the kitchen. My family of four enjoyed our stay and we had one guest visit for 2 days. The driveway fit three cars side by side along with my 19 foot boat on its trailer. The main floor has open concept family room/ kitchen with plenty of seating including couch, nice rocking chair, and high bar style table with chairs. There is a ceiling fan. This room has sliding glass doors with picturesque view of Mayfield Lake backed by pine trees. Spacious two story deck is right outside with plenty of seating and comfortable set chairs. Master bedroom is spacious and bed comfortable. Has ceiling fan. Private bathroom has stand up shower which worked fine. On the lower floor is entertainment room with extra large sectional sofa. We planned to watch a movie but the kids shared time and had two different video game systems hooked up. There was always someone sleeping on the sectional and it could have three sleeping on it if needed. There are two bedrooms. One has window view of lake and comfortable bed. The other has bed which needs to be upgraded. There is a large bathroom with large stand up shower with seat. No complaints from people who used it. There is a walk out concrete patio with chairs. We did not utilize this and spent time up top. Everything has new feel to it. The place is not overly done in the ADK style which can be overwhelming. The kitchen could use some cabinets on the wall and a backsplash. You have to go to pantry with by fold doors to look for stuff. It’s not as convenient as it could be. We spent time kayaking and paddle boarding in the lake right off back yard. Water was warm and didn’t find it to be deeper than 8-10 feet. Very quiet and no gasoline engine boats. Battery powered small motor boats fine. Someone fishing every day. One person said he got over 60 fish during his week long stay. We did not fish. We did go to The Great Sacandaga Lake often and launch our boat. Its only 9 minutes from the rental. Very beautiful lake with free launch. There are a lot of golf courses around. We went to closest one 10 minutes away. Over all my family enjoyed our stay and would consider returning. We were more than comfortable. There is no AC and we had two nights it was hot, but it’s August. There are extra fans which helped. The house manager Marty is more than charming. He was very responsive when we contacted him.
